Spotify has announced that Afrobeats artist Asake will serve as the headline curator for its African Heat playlist during an exclusive New Year’s Eve takeover to mark the start of 2026.
Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, stated in a Wednesday press release from Lagos that the collaboration will feature Asake’s chart-topping tracks alongside prominent selections from across the African continent.
