Kathy Hilton has disclosed that her husband’s recent encounter with intruders during a home invasion in their Los Angeles residence could have resulted in significantly more severe harm.
In an interview with Extra on Wednesday, the 66-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member stated that her husband, Rick Hilton, armed himself with a shotgun during an altercation with three individuals who unlawfully entered their property. She further indicated that he discharged the firearm during the incident.
The burglary occurred while Kathy Hilton was in Las Vegas attending BravoCon with her fellow cast members. It is unknown whether her absence contributed to the timing or execution of the break-in. Representatives for Hilton have not responded to Daily Mail’s request for comment.
Hilton explained at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Women in Entertainment Gala that the intruders gained entry by breaking a kitchen window during rainy conditions. She added that the household security guard was located at a guest house on the property at the time of the break-in. According to her account, Rick Hilton heard the disturbance, retrieved a shotgun, and the intruders subsequently breached the door of the primary bedroom.
Hilton stated that three individuals confronted her husband after entering the room. She reported that Rick verbally ordered them to leave, informing them that law enforcement had been contacted. The security guard then arrived and encountered the intruders, though the nature of this encounter remains unclear.
Hilton indicated that the men fled the residence, after which her husband fired additional rounds into the air from his office in an effort to further deter the intruders. She added that they have since enhanced their home’s security system, making it substantially more sensitive to movement or contact.
Law enforcement officers reportedly arrived shortly after the incident, though the suspects had already fled the scene. It is presently unknown whether any property was stolen.
The incident occurred on the same day that fellow RHOBH cast member Sutton Stracke experienced a break-in at her own residence. At approximately 2 p.m., Stracke’s dog walker contacted emergency services to report a broken kitchen window. Police responded and documented the event, but it remains unclear whether the two break-ins were related or whether any property was taken from Stracke’s home.
Hilton discussed the matter one day prior to the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo. When asked about potential developments in the upcoming season, she stated that promotional clips often reveal too many details in advance, but expressed optimism that this season may preserve more unexpected moments for viewers.#newsafro_
