The cause of death of the late rapper POORSTACY, who passed away on Monday at the age of 26 in Boca Raton, Florida, has been the subject of multiple unconfirmed reports.
According to information conveyed to TMZ by individuals purportedly familiar with the inquiry, investigators have made preliminary findings suggesting the death may have resulted from an act of self-harm. However, a source associated with the artist’s family informed the publication that several family members dispute this characterization and suspect the involvement of third-party wrongdoing. Representatives for POORSTACY and the Boca Raton Police Department have not yet responded to requests for comment submitted by the Daily Mail.
Law enforcement authorities have not issued an official cause-of-death determination. Nonetheless, individuals claiming knowledge of early investigative conclusions allege that the incident occurred in a Boca Raton motel during the early hours of Saturday morning. The individual was subsequently transported to a nearby medical facility, where he passed away two days later following the discontinuation of life-support measures. Prior to these reports, public comments on the artist’s social media posts reflected speculation from fans and associates regarding the circumstances of his death.
Sources close to the family further indicated that they may seek a more comprehensive investigation. It was additionally alleged that the motel regained control of the room later the same day for extensive cleaning. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office previously confirmed POORSTACY’s death but did not provide further details.
A hotel employee reportedly informed TMZ that the artist had been staying at the property for approximately 10 days and had checked in with a woman and a young child, whom a family-associated source claimed were his partner and their child. It remains unclear whether they were present at the time of the incident; no additional injuries were reported.
