Former managers of music artist Innocent Idibia, professionally known as 2face or 2Baba, have confirmed that he was taken into custody in London, United Kingdom, following a reported altercation with his spouse, Natasha Osawaru.
According to Kaka Igbokwe, a former manager and son of the late music icon Christy Essien-Igbokwe, the incident occurred after the couple arrived in London for a concert tour. Mr. Idibia reportedly failed to appear for a scheduled performance on October 2, 2025, prompting speculation regarding his detention.
During an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, Kaka stated that reports of a disagreement between the couple were accurate. He alleged that the altercation began when Ms. Osawaru expressed displeasure over Mr. Idibia engaging with fans at a local shop, which left her feeling unattended. Mr. Idibia is said to have returned to her, at which point a confrontation occurred, culminating in his arrest.
Another former manager, Lori Tosan, corroborated prior incidents of alleged tension between the couple, describing episodes of “outbursts” and “rage” and asserting that law enforcement had previously been on the verge of intervening. Mr. Tosan further stated that efforts were made to manage the situation to prevent police involvement, describing the behavior as indicative of serious emotional distress.
During the livestream, Mr. Idibia joined the discussion and requested that his former managers refrain from public commentary on his personal matters.
A video of the arrest, posted by social media blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok on December 1, 2025, continues to circulate online. The footage appears to depict law enforcement officers speaking with Mr. Idibia outside a commercial establishment before escorting him from the scene.#newsafro_
