Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has shared additional insight into his role as a parent to his seven-month-old daughter, Saga, whom he shares with Megan Fox. The child was born in March, following the couple’s separation in November 2024, which reportedly occurred after Fox discovered communications between MGK and other women.
A recent source indicated that Fox has been encouraged by MGK’s increased involvement in caring for both her and the child, prompting public speculation regarding the possibility of improved relations between the former partners.
On Tuesday, MGK published a short video on Instagram depicting a morning interaction with his daughter, beginning with a close-up of both of their hands tapping a drum. He described the moment as an ideal start to the day and commented affectionately on his daughter’s development.
This family post follows remarks the musician made during a recent onstage appearance at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas. In September, MGK publicly commented on Saga’s resemblance to Fox during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, stating that the newborn at times strongly resembled him and, at other times, strongly resembled Fox.
MGK, who shares an older daughter, Casie, age 16, with Emma Cannon, described Fox as an excellent parent. Fox, in turn, is also the mother of three children from her previous marriage to Brian Austin Green.
During the same interview, MGK discussed the meaning behind Saga’s name, referencing his Norwegian heritage and a Norse figure named Saga. He stated that the name was chosen to reflect the challenging and meaningful experiences surrounding their daughter’s arrival.
MGK and Fox welcomed Saga earlier this year in March, after publicly acknowledging their separation the previous November. Upon announcing the birth, MGK shared a brief message and a short video showing the infant’s hand holding his finger.
Since their separation, the pair have worked cooperatively to co-parent their daughter. MGK has occasionally posted additional images of Saga on social media, including photographs taken indirectly through reflective surfaces.
In August, MGK recounted a comment made by a third party regarding his parenting, stating that Fox reacted strongly because she believed the acknowledgment should be directed toward her, given her primary caregiving role. MGK emphasized that he preferred that any praise be credited to Fox.
Saga resides primarily with Fox, and MGK assists with childcare several nights per week.
In addition to his parental responsibilities, MGK recently released his seventh studio album, Lost Americana, on August 8, featuring tracks including “Vampire Diaries” and “Miss Sunshine.”#newsafro_
