Ellie Bamber has formally acknowledged her relationship with Danish actor Oliver Overgaard by appearing with him in a photograph published on Instagram on Monday.
Ms. Bamber, 28, known for her leading role in Moss & Freud, was featured in an image posted on Mr. Overgaard’s social media account. The post, which included a neutral heart emoji as its caption, constitutes the first instance in which either party has publicly shared photographic evidence of their association, following their initial joint appearance at Wimbledon approximately four months prior. Ms. Bamber responded to the post with additional heart emojis.
In the photograph, Mr. Overgaard is depicted in casual attire, while Ms. Bamber is shown wearing jeans, a lace top, and a Saint Laurent belt. Public comments from third parties included supportive emojis and favourable reactions.
The disclosure marks a notable development in the parties’ previously low-profile relationship, which first drew public attention after their attendance at Wimbledon in July. Their conduct at the event, including visible conversation and interaction, prompted widespread media speculation.
This appearance also signified Ms. Bamber’s first publicly observed relationship since the conclusion of her prior association with actor Richard Madden in early 2019.
Mr. Overgaard has been identified within the Scandinavian entertainment sector as an emerging talent. He is known for his role in the Danish series Salsa (2023–2025), and for earlier work in short films, as well as contributions to various Nordic productions. He is currently represented by Lindberg Management.
Ms. Bamber recently portrayed Kate Moss in the James Lucas–directed biographical film Moss & Freud, which examines the professional collaboration between Ms. Moss and the late artist Lucian Freud during the production of his well-known 2002 portrait. Reports indicate that Ms. Moss personally supported Ms. Bamber’s casting in the role.#newsafro_
