Serenity Royale Hospital, located in Abuja, has formally denied the authenticity of a purported medical report alleging that actress Regina Daniels has been undergoing treatment for severe substance abuse.
The circulated report claimed that Daniels was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detoxification program commencing September 24, 2025, and was purportedly signed by the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.
On Thursday, the hospital issued a public statement clarifying that the document did not originate from their institution. The statement read, in part:
“Our attention has been drawn to a post on an alleged mid-term home detox report being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Nwoko Regina. We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard the same.”
Earlier in the week, Laila Charani, one of the wives of Ned Nwoko, publicly accused Daniels via Instagram of introducing her to alcohol and drugs, alleging that such behavior nearly caused the dissolution of her marriage six years prior. Charani further urged Daniels to pursue rehabilitation while emphasizing that Nwoko disapproves of substance use, stating:
“You also know that my husband completely hates alcohol, drugs, and smoking. He has always been clear that he would never accept any wife who drinks, smokes, or uses drugs. The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction. It has always been a serious matter for him. My husband’s quick insistence on intervention rescued me from that dark path.”
Prior to these allegations, Charani had been publicly focused on family life, sharing multimedia content depicting her family with Nwoko, including a vacation video captioned: “Too busy building my peace, life, and family, no time for anything else.”
Meanwhile, Daniels continued to address her former husband on social media, stating:
“My ex-man never slept outside for one day in our seven years of marriage because, as a Delta babe, I held him well in the other room.”Serenity Royale Hospital, located in Abuja, has formally denied the authenticity of a purported medical report alleging that actress Regina Daniels has been undergoing treatment for severe substance abuse.
