Cardi B has publicly suggested the prospective name of her newborn son following the birth of her fourth child—and her first child with her partner, Stefon Diggs.
The 33-year-old recording artist, who announced via Instagram that she had delivered her fourth child a day earlier, alluded to the infant’s name during an interview with Highsnobiety at the CYBEX Global boutique opening in New York City on Thursday.
The artist, known for the song Bodak Yellow, is already the mother of three children with her former spouse, Offset: Kulture (age seven), Wave (age four), and Blossom (age one).
In a video published on the publication’s Instagram page on Friday, Cardi B confirmed the birth of a male child. She stated, “I’m not sharing the name yet,” but added, by way of suggestion to fans, “It’s cute.”
Cardi B also indicated that she is “feeling a little better” and offered limited information regarding the circumstances of her pregnancy and delivery, explaining that she had been placed on partial bed rest due to the weight of the child.
When asked whether motherhood has influenced her personal style, the artist remarked humorously, “I dress like—when was the last time I ain’t had a kid? Before I was 25.”
She further stated that she intends to model assertiveness for her children, noting: “I will stand up for myself… Then my kids can see that their mama ain’t no punk.”
While attending the CYBEX event, she wore a black puffer ensemble with a corset-style accessory around her midsection, along with a cap positioned over her greenish-blue hair, featuring a large black bow at the back.
Also on Thursday, the performer reiterated on Instagram that she had given birth to her fourth child and expressed that she was entering what she described as a “new era” in her life. Sources informed TMZ that the child—a boy—was born the previous week, and that Stefon Diggs was present at the time of delivery.
In her Instagram caption, Cardi B reflected on her personal and professional transition, stating that her life comprises various chapters and seasons. She emphasized that beginning anew can be challenging but worthwhile, noting that she has introduced new music and a new album, and welcomed a new child. She described the child as providing further motivation to improve herself and to provide her children with the “love and life they deserve.”
She added that her forthcoming phase represents “Me vs. Me,” characterizing it as a personal challenge against all obstacles. She indicated she has begun preparations for her upcoming tour by focusing on physical and mental readiness.
The performer recently disclosed that her Little Miss Drama tour will commence on February 11 of next year in Palm Desert, California. She asserted that nothing would impede her ability to deliver a “performance of a lifetime,” and stated she has learned, healed, and grown as a person.
Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, is also the father of an eight-year-old daughter from a prior relationship.
In September, during an appearance on CBS Mornings, Cardi B confirmed her pregnancy to host Gayle King, stating, “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs.” She explained that although she had been managing significant professional responsibilities, she felt stable and in a positive personal space.
She characterized her relationship with Diggs as mutually supportive and described both parties as operating at high levels within their respective careers. She further stated that Diggs makes her feel “safe,” “confident,” and “strong.”
She noted that while she managed the pressures associated with releasing her album Am I The Drama? in September, Diggs provided substantial emotional support, contributing to her sense of confidence and capability.#newsafro_
