Lizzo attended GQ’s “Men of the Year 2025” event, held on Thursday at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, California, where she appeared in a champagne-colored midi slip dress, complemented by white kitten-heel sandals and a matching tassel clutch curated by her stylist, Kristen Ritchie.
Her hair was styled by Kim Kimble, who secured the artist’s waist-length raven wig. Nail artist Eri Ishizu completed the look with a red manicure, while make-up artist Alexx Mayo enhanced Lizzo’s natural features with a smoky eye, dark blush, and a mauve lip tone.
On January 16, Lizzo publicly disclosed that she had achieved her personal weight-loss objectives, reporting a reduction of 10.5 in her body mass index (BMI) and a loss of 16% of her body fat since 2023. Although she had previously denied use of the GLP-1 agonist medication Ozempic, she acknowledged during a June 19 appearance on the “Just Trish” podcast that she had used the drug in the past.
Lizzo (born Melissa Jefferson) appeared on the red carpet alongside Paris Hilton. The two have previously been seen together, including during the April Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Hilton publicly encouraged her not to withdraw from the music industry.
On October 21, The GRC Trust initiated a copyright-infringement action against Lizzo, alleging that she sampled and replicated instrumental and vocal components of their song Win or Lose (We Tried) in an American Eagle Jeans parody featuring her unreleased track, I’m Goin’ In Till October. A representative for Lizzo stated to TMZ that the song in question has never been commercially released or monetized and that no decision has been made regarding any future commercial release.
Separately, Lizzo remains a defendant in a pending civil lawsuit filed by three former backup dancers—Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez—who allege sexual, religious, and racial harassment. The matter is scheduled for jury trial in the Santa Monica Courthouse. Lizzo has unequivocally denied all allegations asserted in the complaint.
On the preceding Saturday, Lizzo made a rare public appearance with her partner since 2021, actor Myke Wright, at the Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood. The pair first met in 2016 while co-hosting MTV’s ten-episode music series Wonderland. In a 2022 interview with Howard Stern, Lizzo stated that the relationship is long-term and exclusive.
Lizzo’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Love in Real Life, has not yet been released. She is presently not scheduled to perform until March 27, when she is expected to appear at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Her third mixtape, My Face Hurts from Smiling, may be considered for a Grammy Award next year, with nominations to be announced on February 1.
Additionally, Lizzo is slated to produce and star in a biographical film depicting the life of pioneering electric guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe, marking one of her most significant acting roles to date.#newsafro_
