Media personality and recording artist Courtney Stodden, aged 31, recently appeared in photographs modeling a red bikini while showcasing the results of a recent nasal procedure. The images, reportedly taken at her newly acquired residence in Calabasas, California, depict the entertainer posing in a hot tub overlooking her swimming pool.
Ms. Stodden, now married to film producer Jared Safier, disclosed that she underwent a septoplasty procedure to address longstanding breathing difficulties. The surgery, performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie, also included a minor external nasal refinement. Speaking with Daily Mail in October, she stated that she is “very happy” with the outcome and described the procedure as “the best decision,” citing improved respiratory function.
In a previous interview with Daily Mail in September, Ms. Stodden clarified that the revision was minimal and primarily health-related, noting: “This was not a dramatic cosmetic change, but more of a small refinement while addressing my health concerns. I’m feeling so much better already and grateful to finally be breathing easier.”
This marks her second nasal procedure; Ms. Stodden previously underwent surgery in 2016, performed by Dr. Robert Kotler, to correct a nasal bump and alleviate sinus blockages. She explained at the time that she pursued the surgery for both cosmetic and medical reasons, expressing self-consciousness about the visible bump on her nose.
Throughout her career, Ms. Stodden has openly discussed prior cosmetic enhancements, including breast augmentation at age 18, temporary lip fillers, and dental veneers. She has emphasized that while she remains open to future procedures, she intends to approach them conservatively.
In addition to her aesthetic transformation, Ms. Stodden has publicly shared milestones in her personal recovery, recently celebrating her first sober birthday as an adult. She revealed that her 31st birthday marked the first time she abstained from alcohol since adolescence, remarking that she felt “stronger than ever” and was committed to maintaining a healthy and sober lifestyle.
Reflecting on her past, Ms. Stodden has previously described her early marriage at age 16 to actor Doug Hutchison—then 51—as exploitative, characterizing him as her “former groomer.” She has alleged that Hutchison introduced her to alcohol at a young age as a means of control, citing a pattern of coercive behavior during their relationship.
Ms. Stodden’s mother, Krista Stodden, has since expressed regret for granting parental consent for the marriage, which drew significant public scrutiny at the time. The marriage, contracted in 2011, was formally dissolved in 2020.
Ms. Stodden’s latest project, Confessions of a Child Bride, released in September, explores themes paralleling her personal experiences and marks her continued engagement in creative and advocacy work addressing issues of exploitation and empowerment.#newsafro_
