Actress Jennifer Lawrence reportedly exhibited visible discomfort during an encounter with Kylie and Kendall Jenner at an exclusive dinner hosted on Tuesday at the Dior flagship store in Beverly Hills.
The 35-year-old Academy Award winner maintained a polite composure, posing for photographs alongside Kylie, 28, and Kendall, 30 — both dressed in coordinated black ensembles. The interaction appeared notably strained, occurring shortly after Lawrence made unflattering remarks regarding their half-sister, Kourtney Kardashian, whom she described as “annoying.”
Lawrence’s prior comments could not reasonably be dismissed as a miscommunication, as they were made during a Vanity Fair lie-detector segment conducted with her Die My Love co-star, Robert Pattinson. Despite her apparent unease at the event, the actress exuded elegance in a black long-sleeve blouse with a neck-tied bow and a textured layered skirt resembling leaves or scales.
In contrast, Kylie Jenner opted for a sleeveless ruched black dress accentuating her figure, styled with an updo and pointed heels, while Kendall showcased her model physique in an off-the-shoulder bodycon dress with a satin scarf detail.
The high-profile dinner celebrated the opening of Dior’s new Beverly Hills flagship, designed by architect Peter Marino. The multi-level establishment includes Monsieur Dior, the brand’s first in-house restaurant, and private VIP lounges with panoramic views of the city.
Additional notable guests included Lauren Sánchez, spouse of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who appeared in a gray lace-accented slip dress.
Lawrence, known to be an avid consumer of reality television, had previously expressed admiration for the Real Housewives franchise. During her Vanity Fair interview, when asked if she still followed The Kardashians, she admitted she had not kept up with the latest season.
When shown an image of Khloé Kardashian, Lawrence promptly affirmed Khloé as her favorite, adding that “Kourtney is more annoying than ever — she drives me nuts.” She elaborated that Kourtney’s tendency to make public “announcements” about personal lifestyle choices — such as not watching television or wearing certain outfits — contributed to her frustration.
Lawrence has openly discussed turning to Keeping Up With the Kardashians as a form of emotional relief while filming the psychological thriller Mother! in 2017, describing it as a necessary mental escape from the film’s intensity.
In 2024, Variety reported that Lawrence had agreed to star in a Real Housewives-inspired murder mystery produced by Apple Original Films and A24. In a subsequent interview with Entertainment Tonight, she further praised The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, calling its finale “the best reality television ending I have ever seen.”#newsafro_
