Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has hosted a lavish homecoming celebration to welcome her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, and their newborn son, Rakeem, back to Nigeria.
The festive occasion, held in Lagos, featured traditional drummers, singing, and dancing, marking baby Rakeem’s first visit to his maternal homeland. In a heartwarming video shared on Iyabo Ojo’s official Instagram page and captioned “Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk,” the actress could be seen joyfully receiving the young family as friends and relatives joined in the colorful celebration.
An emotional Priscilla, visibly surprised by the warm welcome, walked into the lively scene as Juma Jux proudly carried baby Rakeem in his arms. Among the guests was entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother, Chioma Ikokwu (popularly known as Chioma GoodHair), who commented under the post, “My prince is here.” She further revealed via her Instagram story that Priscilla had called her from the United States to announce her plans to return to Lagos with her son, to which she joyfully responded, “Yes!”
The Lagos homecoming follows an elaborate 40-day celebration and naming ceremony for baby Rakeem, held earlier this month in Tanzania. The event featured family, friends, and Tanzanian entertainment figures as the couple celebrated their son with dancing and traditional music.
Priscilla also shared snippets of their journey from Tanzania to Nigeria on her Instagram story, expressing appreciation to her mother and godmother: “Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother #iyaboojofespris and #chiomagoodhair.”
According to PUNCH Online, Priscilla welcomed her baby boy in Canada on August 24, 2025, before returning to Tanzania, where Juma Jux hosted a grand reception in their honor.
