MultiChoice Group, through its General Entertainment Division, has officially confirmed the return of Africa’s premier reality television franchise, Big Brother Naija, for its milestone 10th season. The upcoming edition is scheduled to commence with a two-night live premiere event on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, 2025, and will run for a period of ten (10) weeks, concluding with a grand finale on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The 2025 edition of the show follows a rigorous and expansive audition process conducted across key cities—Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu—between May 16 and May 18, 2025, following an initial online application window from May 3 to May 7, 2025. The objective of this process was to identify and select diverse and compelling individuals capable of delivering high-value entertainment content throughout the duration of the show.
Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice Group, noted in her remarks:
“This is not merely the announcement of a new season—it is a celebration of a cultural institution. Big Brother Naija has evolved into a dynamic platform that not only showcases talent and creativity but also amplifies the voices of young Africans both within the continent and across the diaspora.”
The official theme for Season 10 remains under embargo and is expected to be disclosed during the live premiere. The season will be hosted by long-standing presenter Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who returns to navigate viewers through the complexities and surprises that have become hallmarks of the show’s format.
Significantly, the tenth edition carries the largest prize in the franchise’s history, with a total reward package valued at GH¢1 million.
