Speculation has intensified among followers of recording artist Cardi B that her recent romantic involvement with NFL player Stefon Diggs may have concluded.
Cardi B, 32, publicly confirmed the relationship on June 1 by posting images of herself and Mr. Diggs, 31, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, on her official Instagram account. However, those images have since been removed, prompting widespread conjecture regarding a possible breakup.
Similarly, Mr. Diggs had included a photograph of Cardi B in a June 16 carousel post on his own Instagram account. That image has also been deleted, though a prior image of the two—originally posted in May—remains publicly accessible on his profile.
On Sunday, Cardi B posted an Instagram Story captioned ‘sooo tired,’ in which she appeared in a bathrobe while having her hair styled. In the accompanying audio, she expressed fatigue due to lack of sleep but made no reference to her recent removal of photos featuring Mr. Stefon Diggs.

However, following the apparent removal of shared photographs from each other’s social media profiles, widespread speculation emerged among fans suggesting the relationship may have already come to an end.
Commenters expressed sentiments such as, ‘That ended as quickly as his time in Houston,’ and, ‘Left her husband for a weekend relationship,’—the latter referring to Cardi B’s estranged spouse, Offset. Others chimed in with remarks like, ‘Bro didn’t renew the 30-day trial,’ and ‘Where Diggs at?’ Additional commentary included, ‘Damn but they was just at the castle.’
Fans also took to Mr. Diggs’ Instagram account to express confusion, with one user asking: ‘Where is the picture w Cardi?! What’s going on?’
Despite the prevailing breakup rumors, some observers posited that the removal of content may be strategic rather than personal. A number of fans speculated that Cardi B may have archived the photos temporarily in order to focus attention on the promotion of her forthcoming studio album, Am I the Drama?, which is scheduled for release on September 19.
Cardi B and Mr. Diggs were first romantically linked earlier in the year, after they were seen together in Miami on Valentine’s Day.
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have made multiple public appearances in recent months, further confirming their romantic involvement. Notable outings include sitting courtside at a New York Knicks game and attending a Met Gala afterparty together in May 2024.
Mr. Diggs, currently a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, formerly played for the Buffalo Bills. He has garnered media attention in recent months for several viral videos depicting excessive partying, including footage that, according to DailyMail.com, reportedly angered Cardi B. One such video, filmed during the couple’s Memorial Day weekend getaway at a boat party, shows Mr. Diggs allegedly engaging in flirtatious behavior with other women while Cardi B was present at the same event.
Cardi B was previously engaged in a long-term, on-and-off relationship with fellow rapper Offset, a member of the music group Migos. The couple reportedly entered into a secret marriage in 2017 and share three children together.
