Danny Dyer and Emily Atack are reportedly engaged by ITV to co-host an upcoming game show, pursuant to newly executed agreements with the broadcaster.
According to a source cited by The Sun, ITV executives, having observed the strong on-screen chemistry and audience appeal demonstrated by Dyer and Atack during their recent collaboration on the Disney+ series Rivals, have determined that the duo would be well-suited to reinvigorate the network’s entertainment roster.
The source stated: “Executives have been impressed by Danny and Emily’s charisma on Rivals and believe they would form a compelling presenting team capable of revitalizing ITV’s entertainment offering.”
While considered an unconventional pairing, Danny Dyer and Emily Atack have previously appeared together on various panel programmes, during which they exhibited a dynamic and engaging rapport. Their shared energy has reportedly been identified as well-suited to the tone and style ITV aims to establish with its forthcoming entertainment programming.
Sources familiar with the matter indicate that producers are actively exploring new presenter combinations with the objective of generating public interest and enhancing viewer engagement. Both Atack and Dyer are regarded as possessing substantial audience appeal.
According to The Sun, each presenter is expected to receive remuneration in the region of £250,000 for their involvement in the project, which is anticipated to be broadcast in the next calendar year.
Representatives for Mr. Danny Dyer, aged 47, and Ms. Emily Atack, aged 35, have been contacted by MailOnline for comment in connection with the reported ITV project.
Both individuals have remained professionally engaged in recent months, having participated in the filming of the second installment of the highly successful television adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper’s novels—an enterprise widely regarded as a commercial and critical success.
Mr. Dyer, known for his decade-long portrayal of publican Mick Carter in the BBC’s EastEnders, is an experienced television personality with prior hosting credentials. Notably, he served as presenter of the BBC game show The Wall, which aired over the course of three series before concluding in 2022 following his departure from both EastEnders and the BBC.
Ms. Atack, a mother of one, previously held a prominent role as team captain on the now-discontinued comedy panel show Celebrity Juice, appearing alongside Keith Lemon and Laura Whitmore.
In separate commentary, Mr. Dyer has publicly disclosed an unconventional dietary regimen intended to support weight management. Speaking on a podcast hosted by Louis Theroux, he revealed his intent to gradually eliminate food consumption on Mondays, acknowledging the method’s effectiveness while conceding it can become burdensome over time.#newsafro_
