On Wednesday, television presenter Maya Jama, 30, appeared in a vintage Versace mini dress—reportedly valued at £2,500—characterized by its prominent bustier design and embellished logo cutout, originally featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2005 runway collection.
The ITV personality, who divides her professional commitments between London and the Spanish island of Majorca in connection with her role as host of the reality television series Love Island, shared images of the ensemble via her official Instagram account.
To further enhance her already statuesque appearance, Ms. Jama selected a pair of orange crocodile leather mules by Giuseppe Zanotti, believed to be from the 1990s.
She completed the vintage-inspired look with oversized white earrings, serving as statement accessories.
In the caption accompanying her social media post, Ms. Jama wrote: “Your bad news bringer back in the villa (sic),” suggesting her imminent return to the Love Island villa.
Ms. Jama’s post was published shortly after she attracted considerable attention by sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the production of the ITV programme.
Via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the television presenter appeared in a minimal white string bikini, posing for a self-taken photograph that showcased her poolside appearance.
Subsequently, she posted an image of an elegantly arranged table set on a balcony, offering panoramic views of the Spanish landscape, followed by another image displaying a meal of sushi and wine, reportedly shared with members of the ITV production team.
For the current season of Love Island, Ms. Jama has curated a wardrobe consisting primarily of vintage designer pieces sourced from fashion house archives. To date, her notable selections include a vintage Versace swimsuit and a 1998 Dolce & Gabbana dress.
These updates follow the recent confirmation of Ms. Jama’s speculated romantic involvement with professional footballer Mr. Rúben Dias, aged 28. Public confirmation of their relationship occurred in April during the KSI Baller League event, where the pair were seen engaging in affectionate conduct. It is understood that the couple began dating privately several months earlier, following an introduction at the European Music Awards in November.
In the months following the initial reports of their relationship, Ms. Jama has been observed attending multiple football matches in which Mr. Rúben Dias appeared as a player for Manchester City.
In April, the pair were publicly photographed together for the first time, engaging in affectionate behaviour during a football event held at the Copper Box Arena. The footage—captured and disseminated by The Sun—depicted the couple embracing, with Mr. Dias placing a kiss on Ms. Jama’s neck. Mr. Dias was noted to be dressed in casual attire, including a baseball cap, appearing to maintain a low profile.
A source quoted by the publication stated: “Maya and Ruben seemed very close, very loved up and were clearly very comfortable with each other. They were chatting to others around them but gravitated back to each other. They seem very happy with each other.”#newsafro_
