On the occasion of Father’s Day, Mr. Moroccan Cannon and Ms. Monroe Cannon, the 14-year-old twin children of Mr. Nick Cannon and his former spouse, Ms. Mariah Carey, publicly acknowledged their father via individual posts on the social media platform Instagram. In their messages, the minors referred to Mr. Cannon as the “best dad in the whole world,” expressing affection and appreciation.
Mr. Cannon, aged 44, is the biological father of twelve children with six different women, one of whom is Ms. Carey, a Grammy Award-winning recording artist, aged 56.
This public acknowledgment from Mr. Cannon’s children with Ms. Mariah Carey follows shortly after public allegations made by the mother of one of his other children, who claimed that Mr. Cannon had not visited their shared child, Halo, for approximately one month. These claims were made in the wake of Mr. Cannon’s social media commentary, wherein he notably referenced having insured his testicles for a reported $10 million.
Despite the controversy, Mr. Cannon proceeded to share a series of Instagram Story posts on Father’s Day documenting his active participation in various familial engagements. These included celebrating the fourth birthday of one of his younger sets of twins, visiting child Halo, and attending a church service accompanied by several of his children.
In conjunction with these events, Mr. Moroccan Cannon published a series of retrospective photographs with his father, accompanied by a caption expressing affection and admiration. Mr. Cannon additionally posted images of Moroccan and Monroe dressed in formal attire, presumably taken during the aforementioned church service on Father’s Day.
In a public social media tribute posted on Father’s Day, Mr. Moroccan Cannon expressed appreciation for his father, Mr. Nick Cannon. His statement read: “Happy Father’s Day pops. I love you so much dad. You’ve always been there for me and helped me with whatever problem I’m dealing with at any time and any place. Thank you for raising me to be the dude I am today. In response, his twin sister, Ms. Monroe Cannon, added a message in the comment section stating, “Happy Father’s Day Daddy,” accompanied by a red heart emoji. Ms. Monroe further acknowledged the occasion through her Instagram Story, where she posted a recent photograph of herself and Mr. Cannon making humorous facial expressions.
