The controversy originated after The Traitors 2024 contestant, Ms. Charlotte Chilton, also aged 32, publicly alleged that Mr. Maynard was the father of her unborn child, following a brief encounter. “Realistically, one of the main reasons [this is] the right time to speak about it is because, as you already said, the last year has been really difficult. “Initially, my friends were like, ‘Do you want to grab a drink? We’ll go do something, hang out near your house, we can just talk.’ But I stayed at home with my girlfriend. We stayed in that night and realistically just tried to stay calm and have a relaxed evening.”
Reflecting on the moment he received the test results, Mr. Maynard stated:
