The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially confirmed that Felix Nnaemeka Agu is eligible to represent the Super Eagles in the upcoming Unity Cup exhibition tournament in London. This follows clearance from the German Football Federation, which verified that Agu has not featured in any official matches—at either senior or youth level—for Germany, having only appeared in two U-21 friendly games in 2019.
The NFF announced the development via its official X account, stating:
“Felix Nnaemeka Agu confirmed ok to play for Nigeria’s @NGSuperEagles.
The German FF have written to confirm that the player has never represented them at any official game at the A and Junior level.
Played only 2 friendly games for the U-21 team in 2019. Welcome Felix!”
Currently with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, Agu has been invited by Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle to join the national team’s training camp in preparation for the Unity Cup.#newsafro_
