Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel is nearing a return to the English Premier League, with credible reports from Turkish media indicating that Crystal Palace Football Club has reached a broad preliminary agreement to acquire the services of the Fenerbahçe right back.
As reported by Fotomac, the Premier League club has proposed a four-and-a-half-year contractual arrangement, with annual remuneration amounting to €4 million. Negotiations between the parties have reportedly advanced significantly, and the terms of the agreement are understood to be close to finalisation.
The publication stated: “The island team offered the player a 4.5-year contract for an annual fee of 4 million euros and the parties reached a large agreement.”
Mr. Bright Osayi-Samuel, who transferred to Fenerbahçe S.K. in 2021 following his departure from Queens Park Rangers, has long expressed a desire to return to English football. His name had been linked with Crystal Palace Football Club in the preceding transfer window, and current developments suggest that such a move is now imminent.
The player’s existing contractual arrangement with Fenerbahçe is set to expire at the conclusion of the current season. Despite documented efforts by the Turkish club to negotiate an extension, the player appears inclined to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Although Fenerbahçe’s current manager, Mr. José Mourinho, is reported to have expressed interest in retaining the services of Mr. Osayi-Samuel, the Nigeria international is expected to depart the Istanbul-based club, having made 33 appearances across all competitions during the present campaign.
Noted for his exceptional pace and adaptability along the right flank, Mr. Osayi-Samuel is reportedly viewed by Crystal Palace technical staff as well-aligned with the club’s tactical philosophy. According to Fotomac, he is anticipated to become a strategic asset in the club’s preparations for the 2025–26 season.
