Mr. Benny Blanco, a 37-year-old songwriter and producer, has publicly disclosed the most significant disagreement he has experienced thus far with his fiancée, recording artist Selena Gomez. The revelation was made during an appearance on Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim and Joel program on Friday, during which Mr. Blanco also provided commentary on their professional dynamic following the recent release of their joint album entitled I Said I Love You First.
During the interview, host Ricki-Lee Coulter inquired as to how Mr. Blanco and Ms. Gomez, aged 32, navigated the inherent challenges and interpersonal sensitivities associated with creative collaboration as an engaged couple.
In response, Mr. Blanco stated, ‘Honestly, she’s so easy to work with,’ further elaborating that, ‘At the outset of the album’s production, we agreed that if at any point the process began to feel uncomfortable or strained, we would cease immediately. However, such circumstances never arose.
Mr. Blanco disclosed that the majority of the album was recorded in the couple’s private residence, specifically within a guest bedroom. During the recording process, Ms. Gomez reportedly encountered a recurring disruption in the form of a nest of birds located directly outside the window of the recording space.
‘For reasons unknown, a nest of birds had situated itself just outside the window where she was recording,’ Mr. Blanco stated. ‘I was unaware of the issue, as the birds remained silent whenever I entered the room.’
He further explained that Ms. Gomez expressed increasing frustration over his inability to perceive the disruptive chirping, until such time as she obtained objective audio evidence. ‘It became quite frustrating,’ he admitted. ‘Ultimately, she managed to capture the sound on a recording, and only then did I hear it myself.’
Mr. Blanco concluded by noting that the incident served as a meaningful learning experience within the context of their relationship.#newsafro_
