Actress Natasha Rothwell, best known for her role as Belinda Lindsey on HBO’s The White Lotus, has made headlines for her persistent and pointed social media campaign targeting former President Donald Trump.
Since October of last year, the 44-year-old performer has regularly posted the phrase “you are trash” directed at Trump on X (formerly Twitter), with the number of posts now well exceeding 100. Over the past weekend, Rothwell added a new variation to her ongoing commentary, offering what some have described as an extra “zinger” to her daily posts.
The series of three-word tweets from actress Natasha Rothwell began prior to former President Donald Trump’s electoral victory over Democratic challenger and then–Vice President Kamala Harris.
On Saturday, the White Lotus star deviated slightly from her usual format by posting a photograph of Trump appearing visibly awkward at the funeral of Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square, Rome. Accompanying the image was her trademark phrase, along with an added “LMAO,” injecting a further layer of mockery into her ongoing campaign of online criticism.
DailyMail.com has reportedly contacted Rothwell for comment regarding her sustained social media remarks about Trump.
Natasha Rothwell, known for her roles in The White Lotus and Insecure, has demonstrated unwavering consistency in her social media criticism of President Donald Trump, reportedly posting the phrase “you are trash” approximately 190 times since the fall of 2024.
As of Monday, the actress had issued the message 107 times in 2025 alone, with around 87 instances occurring since the start of February and 65 since March. On days she omitted the post, Rothwell often compensated by doubling her tweets in subsequent days.
Her commentary has extended to major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Easter. On Thanksgiving, she addressed Trump with the usual phrase and added, “I hope your turkey is dry and stuffed with dookie.” Earlier this month, she similarly posted that she hoped he had a “s***** Easter Sunday.”
Rothwell’s criticism has not been limited to the former president; she has also included six U.S. Supreme Court Justices in a banner image on her X profile, three of whom were appointed by Trump, grouping them with him in her ongoing campaign of online censure.#newsafro_
