On Tuesday, contestants Patsy Palmer, Ella Rae Wise, and Angellica Bell were evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house in what marked the first triple eviction of the current ITV series.
The eviction followed a public vote in which Angellica Bell, Ella Rae Wise, Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, and Patsy Palmer were all nominated for elimination.
Ultimately, Angellica Bell was the first to be evicted during the live broadcast, as confirmed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, who noted that over one million votes had been cast by the viewing public.
Upon her departure from the Celebrity Big Brother house, Angellica Bell expressed that she felt “amazing,” receiving a warm reception from the cheering crowd.
However, the television presenter appeared visibly stunned when informed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best that two additional housemates would also be evicted that evening.
During her post-eviction interview, Angellica became emotional while watching a montage of her time in the house and candidly reflected on the impact of face-to-face nominations.
In her exit interview, Angellica Bell remarked: “It’s never pleasant to point out people’s flaws, particularly when you haven’t had much time to get to know them. I was taken aback by Patsy—she’s experienced, knows what she wants, whereas I tend to accommodate others. She treated me like a child—not unkindly—but in a protective way, though I also wanted to contribute and be of help.”
Shortly thereafter, Ella Rae Wise was revealed as the next evictee, making a striking appearance in a plunging white blazer. She was met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Speaking candidly, Ella stated: “I’m happy—I was desperate to see my mum and friends, and I feel like I need to return to reality. Everyone knew how ready I was to leave. The face-to-face nominations brought me back to school days and made me realise I’ve got things I need to work on. I’m not two-faced—I just wish someone had told me directly that they felt I wasn’t pulling my weight.”
Addressing her perspective on Chris and JoJo’s close bond, Ella added: “I just felt like he never really made an effort to get to know me. At the end of the day, it is what it is. I’d heard some things about him before entering the house—we work in the same industry and share mutual friends, so I thought we’d get on. I don’t think I was bothered by his friendship with JoJo per se—I know how these attachments happen. She’s young, and I didn’t want her to be taken advantage of. But as time passes, you just don’t know.”#newsafro_
