Mickey Rourke was ultimately removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house following several days of persistently inappropriate and unacceptable conduct, which culminated in his expulsion from the programme.
ITV has confirmed that actor Mickey Rourke, 72, departed Celebrity Big Brother following what was described as “further use of inappropriate language” and multiple “instances of unacceptable behaviour.” It is understood that the conduct prompting his removal was directed at fellow contestant Chris Hughes, 32, and occurred just days after Rourke received a formal warning for making offensive remarks toward JoJo Siwa.
Siwa later accused Rourke of homophobia after he stated he would “vote the lesbian out real quick” and made further comments about her sexuality, which drew considerable backlash.
The decision to allow Rourke to remain in the house following the initial incident has since sparked criticism from viewers. Many have expressed frustration over the delay in his removal, with one fan writing on X: “Sucks that it took online backlash when it should have been what happened immediately following the incident.”#newsafro_
