Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to announce that her highly anticipated Hollywood project, Group Chat, has been picked up by Hulu.
Group Chat is a satirical comedy starring and executive produced by La La Anthony (BMF), written and executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, with Kim Kardashian also serving as an executive producer.
Kardashian has been enjoying considerable success in Hollywood in recent years. In addition to starring in her family’s reality TV series, she appeared on American Horror Story, and is currently involved in the new series All’s Fair. She is also working on a project with Emma Roberts.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Kanye West, seems to be going through a difficult time, with reports suggesting he may have been “dumped” by his wife, Bianca Censori, based on clues from his recent music.
Group Chat landed at Hulu for development in the summer of 2024 as part of the first project under Kim Kardashian’s first-look deal with 20th Television.
Inspired by La La Anthony’s bestseller The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness, the series follows five successful women in their 40s, whose secret group chat exposes scandalous secrets.
In addition to Group Chat, Kardashian stars in and executive produces the upcoming Ryan Murphy legal drama All’s Fair for Hulu, and also executive produces the streamer’s top unscripted series, The Kardashians. She is also collaborating with Emma Roberts as an executive producer on the drama series Calabasas, currently in development at Netflix.
Meanwhile, Kanye West’s new album, WW3, has sparked further attention after a leaked track, BIANCA, seemingly confirms that his wife, Bianca Censori, may have ended their relationship. In the song, West, 47, alleges that his 30-year-old wife “tried to get him committed” and suffered from panic attacks due to his controversial social media posts. Although the album, featuring a red swastika on the cover, has not yet been officially released, lyrics from the unreleased track were uploaded to Genius on April 3.#newsafro_
