Camille Razat, best known for her role as the effortlessly stylish Camille in Emily in Paris, was spotted enjoying a sun-soaked getaway in Tulum, Mexico, on Saturday. The 31-year-old French actress and model showcased her toned physique in a minimalistic light brown bikini, her sun-kissed glow perfectly complementing the tropical backdrop.
Despite the absence of her fiancé, photographer Etienne Baret, Camille appeared relaxed and in good spirits, engaging in animated conversation with a female companion. At one point, her friend opted to go topless as they strolled along the pristine shoreline, embracing the carefree beachside atmosphere.
Camille and Baret, who became engaged in 2021, have maintained a relatively private relationship, having been together since at least 2017. The couple resides in a chic Parisian loft, and Baret, a renowned photographer, has collaborated with Camille on high-profile campaigns, including work for luxury jeweler Bulgari. While wedding details remain undisclosed, her Emily in Paris co-star Lucas Bravo is likely to be among the invited guests, given their close off-screen friendship.
A former model, Camille trained at the prestigious Cours Florent Drama School in Paris—an institution that has produced esteemed talents such as Diane Kruger and Eva Green. Before rising to international prominence through Emily in Paris, she built an impressive acting résumé with roles in The Disappearance, (Girl)friend, and The Accusation. However, it was the Netflix hit that ultimately propelled her to global fame.
Camille Razat has acknowledged the transformative impact of Emily in Paris on her career, stating in an interview with Glamour, “It’s changed everything for me, honestly.”
Securing the role, however, was no simple feat. She revealed that the casting process was extensive, involving five separate auditions, a combination of taped and in-person readings, culminating in a final Zoom audition with series creator Darren Star. Reflecting on the experience in Vogue, she shared, “He gave me some directions, and we worked together for an hour. It was so nice. A few weeks later, I received a call from my agent announcing that I’d gotten the part! I was elated to be acting in an English-speaking role for the first time. For some odd reason, I always knew I would.”
As Camille enjoys a well-earned retreat, anticipation continues to build for the next installment of Emily in Paris. Season 5 is scheduled to begin filming in May 2025, with production spanning both Paris and Rome, and is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
Until then, Camille Razat remains in the spotlight, balancing her rising Hollywood career with her presence in the fashion world—whether on the beaches of Mexico or the streets of Paris.#newsafro_
