Jürgen Klopp’s legacy at Liverpool is firmly established, but Harvey Elliott believes his former manager’s impact at Anfield warrants a statue in his honor.
Klopp stepped down as Liverpool manager last summer, concluding a transformative nine-year tenure in which he secured seven major trophies, including the Premier League and the Champions League.
Harvey Elliott, who joined Liverpool from Fulham at just 16 in 2019, had only ever played under one manager until Arne Slot’s arrival this season.
Naturally, he was emotional when recalling the unexpected team meeting where Jürgen Klopp announced his decision to leave at the end of the season.
“It was a really strange situation,” Elliott told Amazon Prime Video. “Jürgen wasn’t really one for having meetings after a game. All the lads were talking, saying, ‘What’s going on?’ because it had never happened before.”#newsafro_
