Chanelle Hayes recently displayed her impressive physique during a sun-soaked getaway in Tenerife over the weekend. The 36-year-old former Big Brother star captivated onlookers as she showcased her nine-stone weight loss and toned abs in a plunging turquoise bikini.
While enjoying the beach, Chanelle, who has recently embarked on a new career as a nurse, appeared effortlessly stylish in a white crochet beach cover-up. She paired the outfit with matching shorts, a cropped shirt, sunglasses, and flip-flops as she made her way to the sun loungers. Carrying her essentials in a large beach bag, Chanelle was later seen strolling along the sea front, dipping her toes in the water.
In 2009, at the peak of her fame, Chanelle weighed 8.5 stone, maintained a restrictive diet, and relied on laxatives to attain what she described as a ‘WAG body.’ By 2020, however, the reality star underwent a gastric sleeve operation after reaching a weight of 17 stone. She subsequently lost 10 stone, dropping from a size 18 to a size 8. Chanelle openly shared her journey, including revealing the scars from her surgery during trips abroad. She described the procedure as a “last resort” and explained that it was the result of years of unhappiness. The operation took place at Burcot Hall Hospital in Worcestershire.
Last year, Chanelle shared her transformation on social media, posting before-and-after photos and expressing that the surgery had “changed her life” and that she had “no regrets.”
In addition to her weight loss journey, Chanelle recently celebrated her new career as a nurse. On Instagram, she shared a nostalgic throwback of herself dressed as a child in a nurse costume, alongside a photo of her recent graduation and new uniform. In her post, she reflected on her career change, stating, “I’ve been posting a lot less recently. It’s not because I have nothing to say, I’ve been settling into a new job role that I have wanted for many years but didn’t feel quite brave enough to do. Thankfully, my husband and parents were such rocks and provided unconditional love and support for me when I was struggling.”#newsafro_
