Melissa Joan Hart recently revealed a stunning Valentine’s Day surprise from her husband, Mark Wilkerson, a breathtaking wedding ring upgrade after nearly 22 years of marriage. On Saturday, the 48-year-old actress shared the dazzling custom ring on Instagram, showcasing its intricate design. The piece features a floral-inspired triple-diamond arrangement, with a large central stone surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. Melissa affectionately referred to the sparkling piece as “Sparkles,” expressing her delight and appreciation for the thoughtful gesture from her husband.
Melissa Joan Hart also revealed that her musician husband, Mark Wilkerson, collaborated with her LA-based wedding jeweler, Erica Courtney, to design the shimmering ring upgrade. In her Instagram caption, Melissa expressed her gratitude, writing, “My handsome Valentine gave my engagement ring an upgrade with the help of the incredible, creative eye of @ericacourtneyofficial who made all of my wedding jewelry except my original engagement ring back 22 years ago.”
She explained that Mark kept her original stones and added new ones, along with a fresh setting. Melissa affectionately named the stunning piece “Sparkles,” a perfect tribute to the thoughtful and meaningful upgrade.
Before the stunning upgrade, Melissa Joan Hart wore a similar three-stone design, with the elevated center setting drawing attention to its intricate prong detailing. Later on Saturday, the My Fake Fiancé star shared a sweet, loved-up photo of herself and Mark Wilkerson sitting in the center of a neon heart structure to celebrate Valentine’s Day. She captioned it, “Hope your Hart is full today!! Happy Valentine’s Day to EVERYONE!!”
The actress and her musician husband first met in May 2002 at the Kentucky Derby. They tied the knot a year later and have since welcomed three sons: Mason, 19, Braydon, 16, and Tucker, 12.
In December, Melissa shared her secret to maintaining a long-lasting, healthy marriage in an interview with Us Weekly. She explained, “A big part of it is the commitment you make, right? If there’s a spark and there’s love in the beginning, then you can always come back to that.” She emphasized that even during challenging times, staying committed to each other makes the good moments even more meaningful, adding, “The valleys or the lows or the times when you don’t feel that connected, you can ride that out and it makes the peaks even better.”
