In a video shared by The Hollywood Reporter on X (formerly known as Twitter), Benny and Selena — who announced their engagement last month — are seen playfully approaching Zendaya from behind while her back is turned.
Upon noticing Benny Blanco nearby, Zendaya’s eyes seemed to widen, and she offered a nervous smile.
She briefly exchanged pleasantries with the couple as they navigated around the train of her flowing gown while holding hands.
The moment swiftly caught the attention of fans on social media, with many commenting on the perceived awkwardness. Some even speculated that Zendaya appeared “completely terrified” of Blanco.
Both Zendaya and Selena Gomez were among the evening’s notable nominees, each receiving individual acting nominations alongside nods for their respective films.
