Kylie Jenner embodied the role of a proud girlfriend as she accompanied Timothée Chalamet to the Golden Globes on Sunday, marking another milestone in her remarkable Hollywood transformation.
Since making their relationship public, Jenner — who shares two children with her ex, rapper Travis Scott — has only been seen with Chalamet at high-profile events.
The typically reserved couple seized the moment to display their affection, sharing a passionate kiss in the audience of the esteemed awards ceremony.
Kylie Jenner, 27, opted to skip the red carpet but was seated beside Timothée Chalamet, 29, during the Golden Globes at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, underscoring their thriving romance.
The Kardashians star and the Dune actor have been photographed together only sparingly since going public with their relationship in late 2023.
As a power couple, they have chosen to appear exclusively at prestigious events, including two Golden Globes ceremonies, the US Open, and Chalamet’s Wonka premiere.
Known for keeping their relationship largely out of the public eye, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet even fueled breakup rumors last summer after an extended period without public sightings. However, their selectiveness in attending events together seems to reflect their desire for privacy rather than a relationship rift.
Over the past year, the couple was spotted leaving the Museum of Modern Art in New York in December and the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood before Christmas. Their most recent official public appearance prior to Sunday’s event was the Golden Globes at the beginning of the previous year.
At Sunday’s ceremony, the couple mingled with other attendees, with Chalamet holding Jenner’s hand as they moved through the room. Jenner turned heads in a low-cut metallic silver Versace gown, her raven hair styled in cascading loose waves. Body language expert Judi James described their dynamic as akin to a “private date night.”
Speaking to DailyMail.com, James remarked that while the couple exudes intimacy, their body language appears “static” in terms of progression. “Timothée walked the red carpet solo but treated the ceremony itself as an exclusive date night with Kylie,” she observed, noting their interactions at the table mirrored previous appearances together.
“There was the same ‘back view at the table’ intimate chatting pose that they’ve used at other major events,” observed body language expert Judi James. “Timothée performs a rather bashful stare here, while Kylie appears more mature and perhaps more intentional about the direction she wants their relationship to take.”
James further noted that during a moment when Chalamet was being humorously targeted on stage, he maintained some physical distance from Jenner. However, Jenner’s supportive demeanor was evident through her affectionate clapping and confident glance at him, which conveyed loyalty and admiration.
“Kylie seemed especially enamored with Timothée during the evening,” James added. “She appeared more besotted than he did, which was highlighted by her body language alternating between ‘date night’ gestures with him and her signature moves when posing solo. For instance, her ‘breast-cup’ gesture — a common pose of hers — signals a desire to attract attention or admiration.”
While the couple shared lighthearted moments, including laughing at Nikki Glaser’s playful comment about Chalamet’s mustache during her opening monologue, the actor faced disappointment in the Best Actor category. Nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, Chalamet lost to Adrien Brody for his role in The Brutalist.
Glaser teased Chalamet by quipping, “Can I just say, you have the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip. This is such a good look. I love you.” Both Chalamet and Jenner were caught on camera sharing a laugh at the joke, showcasing their shared sense of humor.#newsafro_
