Selena Gomez proudly flaunted her fiancée status on Monday, showing off her stunning engagement ring while promoting Rare Beauty on Instagram. The 32-year-old singer and actress shared a video of herself applying makeup from her brand, walking fans through each step as she blended foundation, contour, and added mascara, bronzer, and blush to enhance her glowing complexion.
Sitting casually on the floor of her bedroom, Gomez showcased her natural beauty as she effortlessly demonstrated how to achieve a flawless look with Rare Beauty products. Throughout the video, she subtly highlighted her large engagement ring from fiancé Benny Blanco, gleaming as she applied makeup, much to the delight of her fans.
Selena Gomez’s $1 million marquise-cut diamond engagement ring from fiancé Benny Blanco stole the spotlight in her recent Instagram post. The Only Murders in the Building star shared a video of herself applying Rare Beauty makeup, but it was her dazzling ring that captured the most attention.
In her post, she captioned the video, ” @rarebeauty to go.”
Benny Blanco, 36, reportedly proposed to Selena on December 11 during a romantic nighttime picnic that featured Taco Bell, a moment Selena shared with fans through photos on social media.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been dating since June 2023, but it wasn’t until December that she confirmed their relationship. The 32-year-old singer has since been flaunting her stunning engagement ring, which has captured the attention of many.
Jeweler Laura Taylor from Lorel Diamonds shared her expertise with MailOnline, praising Benny’s choice of a marquise-cut diamond engagement ring. She explained that the ring features an 8-carat marquise diamond set on a yellow gold pavé band, a design that perfectly suits Selena’s style.
The marquise cut, known for its elongated and pointed shape, creates a striking and elegant look while also elongating the finger. Taylor pointed out that this cut dates back to the 18th century, originally commissioned by King Louis XV of France to resemble the smile of his mistress, the Marquise de Pompadour.
The pavé band, with its row of smaller diamonds set closely together, adds extra sparkle and complements the central marquise diamond. According to Taylor, the central diamond is likely of exceptional quality, with VVS1 clarity and a colorless grading in the D-F range. The ring’s value is estimated at around £800,000 ($1 million), depending on the exact diamond specifications.
