Ofadaboy, a renowned Nigerian food and culture ambassador, recently celebrated 15 years of service and catering excellence with the successful hosting of the 6th edition of the Ofada Rice Day Festival. The event, themed “Ofadabration 2.0,” attracted over 9,000 attendees, including notable representatives from the Canadian Deputy High Commission, American Consulate, and British High Commission. This milestone event highlighted Ofadaboy’s continued dedication to promoting Nigerian cuisine and culture, further solidifying his influence in the culinary world.
The Ofada Rice Day Festival, marking 15 years of service by Ofadaboy, featured a variety of activities, including live performances from top Nigerian artistes such as Abass Obesere, Reminisce, Reekado Banks, and Brymo. Veteran food vendors from across Nigerian states like Ikene, Itoko, Iperu, and Igbokoda also showcased their unique culinary offerings. In addition to the entertainment, Ofadaboy launched the Ofadaboy Charity Foundation, with a mission to provide healthy meals for Nigerians and give back to communities across the southwest and beyond.
Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, lauded Ofadaboy’s efforts in promoting Ofada rice and Nigerian culture. Dr. Abisoye Fagade, Director-General of the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism, also commended Ofadaboy’s dedication to showcasing Nigerian cuisine. Tobi Fletcher, Creative Director of Ofadaboy, and his partner, Oyinda Fletcher, Chief Operating Officer, expressed their gratitude to all attendees and supporters, sharing their excitement for the milestone achieved and their commitment to serving and promoting Nigerian cuisine for years to come.
