Shawn Mendes showcased his chiseled physique by going shirtless for Halloween celebrations in Los Angeles. The singer was spotted embracing the festive spirit, drawing attention with his fit appearance as he joined the festivities.
After getting into the Halloween spirit and adding finishing touches to the cobwebs adorning the fence of his Los Angeles home, the 26-year-old musician appeared to be in high spirits. The singer-songwriter showcased his impressive tattoos inked along his muscular biceps, wearing only a pair of light-wash jeans that hung low on his hips.
Wearing nothing but a gold chain and several rings, Mendes appeared to be waiting for someone as he chatted on the phone. Shortly after, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, a 51-year-old chiropractor long rumored to be dating the singer, was spotted arriving at his house. She sported intricate green face paint around her eyes, paired with an all-black ensemble that included a knit turtleneck, pleather shorts, and over-the-knee boots.
Mendes’ Halloween gathering followed his candid revelation about his sexuality during a recent concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, where he discussed the “truth” about his love life during his For Friends and Family Tour show.
During an intimate moment with the audience, Mendes shared, “The real truth about my life and my sexuality is that, man, I’m just figuring it out like everyone.” He emphasized his desire to be “really brave” as he navigates his journey, acknowledging the fear that comes with it. “And it feels really scary because we live in a society that has a lot to say about that,” he added, reflecting on the pressures and expectations surrounding discussions of identity.
Mendes further elaborated on his thoughts, saying, “There’s this thing about my sexuality, and people have been talking about it [for] so long.” He described the discussions as “kind of silly,” emphasizing that sexuality is “such a beautifully complex thing” that defies simple categorization.
He expressed his desire to connect more authentically with his audience, stating, “I just want to be able to be closer to everyone and just kind of be in my truth.” Mendes acknowledged the personal nature of his journey, saying it felt intrusive to have others scrutinize something so private, which he is still discovering.
“It feels really scary because we live in a society that has a lot to say about that,” he noted, explaining his efforts to be brave and allow himself to experience emotions. He added that he missed out on typical teenage experiences, revealing, “I was really young when I started. I was 15 years old… I didn’t get to do a lot of 15-year-old things and discover parts of myself that you do at 15.”
In his new song, “The Mountain,” Mendes also touches on themes of sexuality, reflecting his ongoing exploration and expression of his identity.
