At a recent hearing, LA Superior Court Judge Mark Arnold addressed A$AP Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, regarding the possible attendance of Rihanna at Rocky’s upcoming trial. The judge extended an invitation to the singer, referring to her as “the mother of (Rocky’s) two children,” and noted that if she wished to attend, she was welcome to do so. The trial, which has now been delayed for the third time, is set to take place in January and is expected to last between seven to ten days.

Judge Mark Arnold emphasized that A$AP Rocky, despite being a celebrity, will not receive any special treatment during his upcoming trial. Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, stemming from a 2021 altercation with fellow rapper A$AP Relli. The trial could result in up to eight years of jail time if Rocky is convicted of both charges.
The continuance was granted to allow further exchange of witness lists and discovery evidence, but Judge Arnold warned there would be no more delays beyond the January start. Rocky did not appear in court during this hearing.
