Yung Filly has reported to a police station in Perth following charges related to an alleged hotel rape incident. The specifics of the charges have not been disclosed, and the case is currently under investigation. Further details regarding the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the incident are awaited.
The British YouTuber, 29, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s on September 28, following a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Perth. The allegations have led to his recent charges, and the case is under investigation by local authorities.
The rapper, whose full name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, appeared in court on Thursday, where he was ordered to remain in Australia until December for a subsequent hearing.
Mr. Barrientos was granted bail under several conditions, including daily reporting to police and remaining in Western Australia. On Saturday, he was seen reporting to Perth Police Station in Northbridge for the first time since his court appearance.
According to Daily Mail Australia, he was inside the station for approximately five minutes before being photographed as he exited and entered a vehicle. Attempting to maintain a low profile, Mr. Barrientos wore a dark baseball cap, a cream hooded jacket, black shorts, and trainers. He appeared solemn as he left the police station and walked to his vehicle.
Mr. Barrientos was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday and subsequently extradited to Perth on Wednesday. On Thursday, he appeared before an Australian court, which ordered him to remain in the country until December for a subsequent hearing. He was scheduled to return to the UK to participate in a music event in Essex on October 25, but that event has since been canceled.
Mr. Barrientos was slated to appear alongside several other “special guests” at the “freshers’ takeover” music night at Trilogy Nightclub in Colchester. However, a spokesperson for the venue informed MailOnline, “We canceled the event this morning as soon as we heard of his arrest. Ticket buyers will be issued refunds by the promoter.”
Mr. Barrientos is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at his Perth hotel on September 28, following a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys on the night of September 27. The musician, who has over three million followers on Instagram, had performed at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast just two days before his arrest.
Mr. Barrientos faces serious charges, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck. During a recent hearing at Perth Magistrates Court, police prosecutor Julius Depetro argued against his release from custody, stating that there is an “extremely strong” case against him, bolstered by CCTV and photographic evidence.
