Nick Knowles‘ future on Strictly Come Dancing has now been officially confirmed following his experience of sustaining two injuries during his participation on the show.
The DIY SOS star, 62, received confirmation from medical professionals on Friday that he will be able to return to the dance floor on Saturday, just one week after being forced to withdraw from Movie Week due to his injury.
Breaking his silence, Nick Knowles took to Instagram to share the positive news that he will be returning to the Strictly Come Dancing stage on Saturday night. He expressed how much he missed being part of the show after his absence last week, revealing that he has truly developed a passion for dancing.
He began: “Hello everyone. Well, I watched last week’s show feeling so sad that I wasn’t there. Of course, I loved cheering on everyone else, but I really missed it. I missed being part of it.
When I signed up for Strictly, I never thought for a moment that I would love dancing the way I do, and I have well and truly caught the dancing bug, so I am absolutely delighted to be back tomorrow.”
In his message of gratitude, Nick Knowles added: “I am so grateful to all the physios and the medical team at the BBC for getting me back on my feet. See you tomorrow night.”
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the news, stating: “We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing in this Saturday’s show. Nick has been cleared to dance by the medical and physio teams following his injury last week. Due to time taken out of training this week, they will be performing their Movie Week Charleston to ‘Rain On The Roof’ from Paddington 2.”
Meanwhile, Fleur East announced the news on It Takes Two on Friday, telling fans: “Nick Knowles and Luba will dance again on Saturday; we will finally get to see his Charleston.”

Nick returned to rehearsals on Wednesday, preparing to perform the Charleston with his professional partner, Luba. He will showcase this particular dance on Saturday—a style characterized by its twisting steps and leg flicks—as it is the routine he learned for Movie Week, leaving no time to rehearse a new performance.
Fans expressed their excitement on Twitter, enthusiastically posting: “NICK & LUBA WILL BE DANCING TOMORROW!!!!”
Another fan humorously commented: “Nick Knowles has been cleared to dance tomorrow (phew!), although I have a suspicion he might be in the dance-off with Paul on Sunday—see you tomorrow at 6:20.”
This announcement follows Nick’s recent disclosure of a significant health update regarding his future on Strictly Come Dancing on Wednesday.
