Harry Kane is a doubt for Bayern Munich’s Champions League match against Aston Villa after sustaining an ankle injury during the recent draw with Bayer Leverkusen. His availability for the upcoming match remains uncertain as the team assesses the extent of the injury.
The England captain was forced off late in Bayern’s 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen due to an ankle injury sustained when he was caught by Amine Adli. Kane received treatment before being replaced by Thomas Muller with four minutes remaining.
Vincent Kompany expressed cautious optimism, stating, “I’m not a doctor, but I hope it’s nothing serious. It’s still early to say. Hopefully he’ll be fit for Wednesday.” Bayern sporting director Max Eberl added, “If Harry goes off the pitch, then it’s something. Now I hope he’s made of sturdy English wood.”
Harry Kane, the former Tottenham striker, has made a strong start to the season, scoring 10 goals in seven games across all competitions.
