George Clooney has sold his Los Angeles mansion, which previously belonged to Stevie Nicks, for nearly $15 million. The property, known for its luxurious features and rich history, adds to Clooney’s real estate portfolio as he moves on to new ventures.
According to TMZ, the 63-year-old filmmaker, who recently shared a prank he once played on Tom Cruise, has sold his six-bedroom Studio City mansion after nearly 30 years of ownership.
The Fryman Canyon home was purchased by George Clooney in 1995 for $2.2 million from the Fleetwood Mac superstar. This sprawling estate spans 7,000 square feet and includes a main house, several guest houses, a tennis court, and a pool, all situated on a 3.1-acre plot. According to reports, Clooney hosted numerous soirées at the property during his nearly 30 years of ownership.
After marrying Amal Clooney, the sprawling home became their “private oasis,” where they raised their seven-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, as Amal described in a 2018 Vogue interview. The residence, hidden behind trees, provided the family with a sense of isolation, according to some trusted information from reliable media houses.
The couple also owns homes in Italy, France, and New York, contributing to a diverse real estate portfolio. The sale of the home was confirmed by Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency Inc., who represented George in the transaction. Recently, George and Amal appeared as a loving couple at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s The Albies event in New York City.
The actor praised his 46-year-old spouse, a British human rights lawyer, while they hosted the charity event that honors justice defenders who risk their lives for their work. The ceremony, held at the New York Public Library, aimed “to send a message to those who abuse human rights that the world is watching,” according to the Albies website.
Standing by her side in front of a room full of famous faces, the Ocean’s star expressed his unwavering support, stating he would “support his wife in anything she [is] involved in.”
On the event’s red carpet, George Clooney told People, “She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what. This is an event where we get to focus all the attention on the people who don’t get enough attention.”
Amal praised her husband, stating, “He’s an amazing advocate, and it just means so much to me to be able to do this work together and for him to help bring to life some of the stories that we’re telling tonight.”
As they marked their 10-year wedding anniversary on September 27, George hinted at a surprise for Amal, saying, “I’m taking her somewhere tonight, but she doesn’t know where.”
George Clooney and the established civil rights attorney met in 2013, after being introduced by a mutual friend.
