Amy Hart is now officially married. The Love Island star has confirmed that she and fiancé Sam Rason have solemnized their marriage in Spain, approximately one year subsequent to the public announcement of their engagement.
Love Island star Amy Hart has officially married her partner Sam Rason in Spain, one year following their engagement announcement.
The 31-year-old reality TV personality disclosed the development to her Instagram followers on Monday, while relaxing with family and friends at the Miraflores Tennis Club in Málaga.
Accompanying a selection of photos, Hart stated: ‘No wedding pictures yet, so here is our Friday night gallery! A lovely, relaxed evening with our friends and family.
Friends and family traveled to Málaga on Spain’s southern coast in anticipation of the ceremony. Amy Hart had previously hinted that the event would feature a musical theme, spanning a four-day period.
In January, Hart informed Heat magazine: ‘Naturally, it’s a four-day wedding. While the first dance is not a song specifically composed for a musical, it has been featured in one. A friend of mine, who recently departed from the West End production of Hamilton, will be performing it.’
At one point, there was uncertainty about his attendance at the wedding due to a scheduling conflict with another friend’s wedding on the same day. Remarkably, both ceremonies are being held in Spain, just 35 minutes apart. He plans to attend the first wedding for the ceremony and drinks, and then travel to the second for the meal and the first dance. It seems like a twist of fate.
Additionally, Amy has selected her wedding dress after being persuaded by her stylist, Jeff. Initially hesitant about the gown, she ended up falling in love with it after trying it on at Jeff’s suggestion.
The couple, who share an 18-month-old son named Stanley, are reportedly planning their honeymoon in Las Vegas, though the exact date remains unconfirmed.
Amy, who gained prominence on Love Island in 2019, welcomed Stanley with Sam in March 2023. Six months later, Sam proposed during a shoot aboard the Excellence-class cruise ship Arvia for Amy’s P&O Cruises podcast. During a theater rehearsal, Sam surprised Amy by taking the stage and proposing on bent knee.
Quoting a lyric from ‘I’ll Be Here,’ a song from the lesser-known 9/11 musical Ordinary Days, enthusiastic musical theatre aficionado Amy Hart announced her engagement to Instagram followers on Monday. She wrote: ‘And he said…hey, whatcha doin’ the rest of your life? Well and truly the biggest surprise ever. We are so happy (literally thought I was watching show rehearsals hence why I have no shoes on).’
In a subsequent update, the joyous couple was seen toasting with glasses of champagne. Amy, who occasionally appears on Loose Women, confessed that despite her usual attentiveness, the entire setup had been meticulously arranged to keep her unaware. She noted: ‘So yeah, fiancé! There were no floors being polished or new trailers being set up; it was all to ensure I didn’t encounter Sam when he boarded the ship.’
Amy Hart received a deluge of congratulatory messages from celebrities. Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison expressed her joy, writing: ‘Congratulations gorgeous!!! This is beautiful.’
West End performer Lucie Jones, renowned for her roles in Wicked and Waitress, added: ‘Ahhhhh amazing congratulations!!!’
Actress Alice Fearn, who previously portrayed Elphaba in Wicked before Lucie’s tenure, shared: ‘Couldn’t be happier for you sweetheart.’
YouTube personality Louise Pentland also chimed in with: ‘Omg congratulations,’ accompanied by a series of clapping emojis.
