The 53-year-old Heart Radio presenter made the announcement on Instagram, updating his followers on Tuesday. This follows a previous disclosure that he sought medical advice after listeners observed irregularities in his voice.Laryngeal cancer specifically targets the larynx, commonly known as the voice box.
Jamie Theakston stated: “Hi folks, as you’re aware, I recently underwent surgery to remove a lesion from my vocal cords.The biopsy has confirmed that this is Stage 1 Laryngeal cancer. So yes, I have cancer, but cancer doesn’t have me!”
