Simone Biles wishes to reassure concerned Bears fans by officially declaring that she will no longer be seen sporting Green Bay Packers attire.
The residents of Chicago may now breathe a collective sigh of relief, as Simone Biles has confirmed to Newsafro.com that her wardrobe now includes ample Chicago-themed apparel. Consequently, there should be no further appearances of her donning Packers gear at Soldier Field in the future.
It is worth noting that Biles previously stirred discontent among Bears fans when, during her husband Jonathan Owens’ preseason game on August 17, she was spotted wearing a jacket adorned with multiple Green Bay Packers logos.
Clearly, there was no intent to disrespect Bears fans, as the attire was simply a gesture of support for her husband, Jonathan Owens, who spent the entirety of 2023 with the Packers, the Bears’ primary rival, prior to joining the Chicago roster this offseason.
Despite the innocent intent, devoted Bears fans were quick to criticize the gymnastics icon, taking to social media to express their displeasure with her choice of attire. However, it appears that Biles has already addressed the matter, assuring Newsafro.com in New York on Thursday that the situation has been resolved and such an incident will not be repeated.
“Yes, I have plenty [of Bears gear] now,” Biles confirmed, adding, “so, don’t you worry, guys!”
Bears fans won’t have to wait much longer to see if Simone Biles stays true to her word. Owens and the Chicago Bears are set to officially kick off their season against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field.
