Prince Harry has sought counsel from trusted former aides in Britain on how to orchestrate his return from exile in the United States, The Mail on Sunday has revealed.
Sources indicate that the Duke of Sussex is consulting individuals from his previous life as a working royal, reportedly due to dissatisfaction with the advice from American-based image experts.
The overtures represent the initial phase of a strategy to ‘rehabilitate’ Harry, which would see him spending more time in the UK to mend his relationship with his father and possibly facilitate a partial return to the royal family.
Sources emphasized that Harry and Meghan, who have been living in self-imposed exile in California with their two children for the past four years, are not aiming for a permanent return.
This newspaper can also reveal that the couple has parted ways with another American PR adviser. Christine Weil Schirmer, who joined the Sussexes in 2020 as head of communications, left quietly late last year.
