Spanish police have arrested suspects in connection with the burglary of Nick Grimshaw’s residence, apprehending a gang accused of ‘gassing’ the DJ.
A group of burglars suspected of ‘gassing’ radio DJ Nick Grimshaw and his 81-year-old mother while they were asleep in their luxury rented villa in Ibiza have been apprehended.
Spanish detectives dramatically confirmed today for the first time that knockout gas may have been employed by the criminals. They also connected the gang to ‘at least’ 22 raids across the island and released disturbing footage of the masked suspects in action.
Three individuals charged with the burglaries, involving stolen items valued at over half a million euros, are believed to have been operating in Ibiza since 2019.
This revelation suggests that their targets may have included several high-profile individuals with considerable wealth.
Nick Grimshaw was targeted by criminals believed to have used sedative gas after renting a villa in Ibiza for his 40th birthday last month. Also present at the property were his mother Eileen, his fiancé Meshach Henry, 27, and his niece Liv Grimshaw, who appears with him on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Sources close to the investigation confirmed today that the arrested gang is suspected of being responsible for the raid on Nick Grimshaw’s villa.
