Nine children and two adults were swiftly taken to the hospital following a chlorine chemical leak at the swimming pool of the Everyone Active sports center in Vale Farm, Sudbury, Harrow, northwest London. The incident prompted an emergency response, leading to the center being cordoned off by police. One police car and three ambulances were observed at the scene as the situation continues to be addressed.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were called at 13:40 hours on Thursday, 29 August, in response to reports of a chlorine leak at a pool on Watford Road, Wembley. Officers, along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade, are currently on the scene.”
