In footage obtained by Newsafro.com from his sister’s wedding earlier this month of August, the 36-year-old MMA star was seen swiftly consuming nearly an entire pint of beer in mere seconds during Erin McGregor and Terry Kavanagh’s ceremony in Ireland.
Conor McGregor is actively working on his comeback to the UFC after a three-year hiatus, but he clearly took a break from his rigorous training routine to celebrate his sister’s wedding in style.
In the clip, McGregor is seen enjoying a custom glass of his own Forged Irish Stout, created by a machine at the event. He nearly finished the entire pint in a single gulp, pausing just over halfway through. With a satisfied grin and a foam mustache forming on his lip, it’s clear he was pleased with his effort.
Based on the photos McGregor shared from the event, it’s evident that the stout wasn’t the only alcoholic beverage he enjoyed that day. However, it’s hard to fault him for indulging—after all, it was his big sister’s special day!
Other guests also joined in the festivities, as seen in photos we obtained, where machines dispensed Conor’s Irish Stout to attendees, featuring tributes to Erin and Terry.
While it’s uncertain if this has any bearing on his upcoming comeback fight against Michael Chandler—already rescheduled once due to a toe injury McGregor sustained during training—fans need not worry. The Notorious One quickly returned to his regimen of electrolytes and workouts in the days following the celebration.
