Johnny Wactor’s coworker, who was present on the night of his murder, expressed deep emotion over the arrest of the alleged killers. However, they emphasized that the actor’s family will only find peace once the suspects receive the maximum punishment.
Anita Joy told TMZ she felt both joy and relief knowing that three individuals have been arrested and charged with murder. However, she added that true justice will be served only when these individuals receive serious convictions.
Johnny’s friend expressed optimism about the outcome, noting that all the suspects are being held on high bail amounts. Initially, she was concerned that the suspects might not be tried as adults, as she believed they could have been minors based on what she witnessed the night of the murder. However, it has since been confirmed that all three suspects are 18 years old, ensuring they will be tried as adults.
We reported earlier that the LAPD arrested three members of the Florencia 13 gang on Thursday, charging them with murder, along with an additional gang member charged as an accessory. This follows the fatal shooting of Johnny Wactor, who was shot in the chest after confronting a group attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter outside Level 8 restaurant in downtown Los Angeles.
Anita believes the tragedy could have been avoided if Level 8 had provided safer parking for employees. She stated that she and others repeatedly raised concerns about the issue, but claims that no action was ever taken.
Anita stated that neither she nor Johnny’s family have received any communication from the restaurant since the murder, noting that only coworkers have offered support. She also expressed gratitude that progress in the case was made before Johnny’s birthday on August 31, which she believes provides some relief for his family.
