Popular music executive Paulo Okoye has declared Burna Boy as Nigeria’s wealthiest musician, revealing that the artist earned an impressive $80 million in 2023 alone. During an Instagram live session with podcaster Daddy Freeze, Okoye stated, “The only person that is making money in Nigeria is Burna Boy. He made at least $80 to $100 million four years ago. Burna Boy is the richest.”
Okoye emphasized Burna Boy’s elevated status in the industry, noting that his success is partly due to his small, close-knit team, which includes his mother, sister, and a few others—less than eight people in total. The rest of his collaborators are primarily contractors or consultants.
