Chidimma Adetshina who dropped out of the race to become Miss South Africa in the pageant last week due to questions surrounding her real nationality has now accepted to compete for the title of Miss Universe Nigeria.
During the quest for the final round, it was found that Chidimma Adetshina was born to a Nigerian father and a South Africa mother with Mozambique origin. She withdrew the contest following her alleged eligibility after she succumbed to online bullies and trolls.
In what she captioned the “difficult decision to quit the contest to protect the safety and wellbeing of my family and I”.
Chidimma accepted the call to embark on a new beauty adventure to represent Nigeria in the Miss universe contest and said she is most excited to embark on the journey.
The South Africa’s Home Affairs department is however still investigating the case of “fraud and identity theft” and promised to establish full set of facts the matter, following investigations.
